Homes in Probate

What is Probate?

When a homeowner dies, their assets go through the probate process, meaning an executor of the estate is appointed to administer their will and determine whether their property will be inherited or sold. Even though some homeowners specifically outline the future of their assets in their will, their home will continue through the probate phase to determine whether their chosen inheritor can assume the responsibilities of the property or not.

However, those who find themselves in possession of an inherited property often do not have an interest in or the means required for taking on a new home. When this happens, the house is typically put up for sale. The inheritor is then responsible for hiring and working with a real estate agent to receive a home appraisal, list the home on the market, and negotiate with the new sellers before determining what to do with the deceased relative’s belongings.

A Better Alternative

Sound exhausting? That’s where we come in. To help homeowners avoid the months-long process of selling an unwanted home, we offer the opportunity to sell the property for cash, as is, in as little as a few weeks time. No real estate agent, no extensive legal contracts, no back-and-forth negotiations where the value of the home is continually diminished.

At The Only Real Estate, we pride ourselves in offering a stress-free option for family members who solely wish to mourn their loved ones, not spend months auctioning off their property. For over 10 years, we’ve been assisting inheritors by relieving them of the burden and bringing life back into pre-owned properties.
